Obesity is a growing, global epidemic and, sadly, our children have become the victims for a variety of reasons. One of the most influential factors is the lack of physical activity due to an increase in technology use such as computers, cell phones, iPods and video games. This presentation will discuss the lack of physical activity, especially play in children with a focus on the school environment, as well as how technology, namely the Dance Dance Revolution: The Classroom Edition, can be leveraged to increase and maintain physical activity levels in children.
