We kicked-off a series of in-booth partner presentations with a bang yesterday. Chuck Parker, the Executive Director of Continua Health Alliance, stopped by to discuss the organization’s efforts to establish standards for plug-and-play capabilities of personal connected health devices.
To illustrate the potential of telehealth tools, Mr. Parker provided evidence supporting the role of remote home monitoring in caring for patients with chronic disease. The facts and figures were substantial, and included a 65% reduction in office visits, less time spent in hospitals and a 35-56% reduction in mortality for the test group.
